ALPHABETICA Pilot Progress at the GREIP Doctoral Summer School
NewsOn 11 June 2026, Claudia Vallejo and Denise Holguín, members of the ALPHABETICA team at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), presented recent developments from the PLURART pilot during the Doctoral Summer School of the Research Group for Education, Interaction, Plurilingualism and Pluriliteracies (GREIP) , held at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UAB.
The presentation brought together an audience of researchers, teacher educators, and doctoral students from different universities and research institutions. It provided an opportunity to share the conceptual foundations, methodological approaches, and initial experiences emerging from the pilot activities carried out at Institut Escola El Viver.
Particular attention was given to the integration of arts-based and plurilingual pedagogies as a means of fostering participation, expression, and inclusion in educational settings. The presenters showcased several pilot actions developed throughout the school year, including collaborative artistic projects involving students, families, teachers, artists, and the local community.
The event contributed to the dissemination of the ALPHABETICA project within the academic community by providing an opportunity to engage with early-career researchers and experienced scholars interested in plurilingualism, inclusion, teacher education, and arts-based approaches.
